Tango’s Lead has been and will continue to be the heart and home to many dogs. We work primarily with shelters who find themselves overwhelmed. While these pups are our focus, we also work together with the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and other remote Northern Communities. With the help of our incredible foster homes, we get to know the personalities and needs of each of our dogs so that we can find them the perfect humans to show them what living is all about!"

"Founded in 2019, Tails of Freedom Rescue Inc. saw an immediate need to save three cats from being euthanized. After rescuing Prince, Cornell, and Elvis, we provided the necessary veterinary care with the help of dedicated volunteers and the donations of many caring people. Since then, we have grown into the organization we are today that has rescued over 1700 animals and counting."

"Established in 2016, Fetch + Releash is a volunteer run dog rescue dedicated to saving dogs in need. Our foster dogs come from a variety of different backgrounds such as pounds and shelters, strays and surrendered pets, both locally and abroad. Through our network of volunteers, foster homes, trainers and veterinarians, we strive to give every dog the loving forever family they deserve.  As a foster-based dog rescue, our foster dogs live in private homes across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) where they receive the love and attention they need to ready them for adoption... By collaborating with local and international communities, our mission is to save dogs in danger of homelessness, abuse, neglect or euthanasia. Once in our care, we match each dog with the loving forever family they deserve... In addition to re-homing dogs, we are passionate about advocating for animal rights and educating the public on relevant issues... "Located in Lethbridge Alberta, the Last Chance Cat Ranch is the largest cat rescue south of Calgary.  We are a not-for-profit, no-kill rescue organization. Our mission is to save cats and kittens from untimely deaths, which includes providing necessary veterinary care to homeless and abandoned cats. We tirelessly do our best to find fur-ever homes for abandoned, stray, and surrendered cats, and provide TNR (trap-neuter-release) when financially able to do so."

"SCAT Street Cat Rescue Program Inc. is a registered charitable organization whose focus is promoting quality of care and quality of life for street cats through fostering, adoption, and TNRM (Trap, Neuter, Return, Manage) programs. Our harsh weather and no-roaming bylaws, along with all the usual risks to outdoor cats, make survival difficult.

We prioritize the most vulnerable, including pregnant cats, kittens, and those with injuries or medical problems requiring urgent vet care. Over the years we have grown to the point where we bring over 700 cats into our program every year. This can only happen with a large committed volunteer base with a wide range of skills and interests. Our people - donors, volunteers, fosters, partner clinics and staff - are how we continue to make an impact on the lives of street cats and kittens. They are key to our success and the core of our organization. We value them beyond measure."

"Precious Paws Rescue has grown a great deal from the one foster/volunteer that we started out with. Because of dedicated volunteers, generous supporters and committed adopters, we have been fortunate enough to directly change the lives of many, many dogs since we started. "Throughout working in the animal welfare world, we realized there was a gap that needed to be filled, there needed to be a place for the 'unplaceable' animals, a 'saving grace' for the challenging animals. Whether that be, a behavioral dog, a feral cat, an old cow, or a pig, we will do everything we can to open our door to an animal in need. We have trainers who devote their time to the rehabilitation of the animals, and an amazing veterinary team to ensure the animals health and well-being."

"ABR was founded in 2009 by a group of women who met at the Calgary English Bulldog meet-up group. The rescue continues to sponsor the Calgary & Area English Bulldog Meetup Group.

"Refuge Kitty-Kat rescue was founded in 2014 and is a registered charity organization.

We are a foster based rescue, we do not mix cats in one place to avoid stress and health hazards. The cats stay in their individual foster home until fully vetted and adopted.

We pride ourselves on the quality of work rather than quantity. It isn’t a race to get them adopted quickly. We concentrate on each cat’s needs and educate people on how to keep their cat safe, proper nutrition and care."

"Penny’s All-Breed Animal Rescue Inc. (PABAR) is a registered non-profit, volunteer-based, animal rescue. We are a foster-based rescue and have animals located in and around the city of Winnipeg. Our sole focus is to rescue animals of various species and breeds from all over our great province of Manitoba. We take in animals (mostly dogs and cats) that have been abandoned, abused or surrendered at no fault of their own. We place them into loving foster homes where they are rehabilitated. Whether it is for health reasons, behavioural issues, neglect, or some much-needed love and care, they stay with their foster family until are ready to find their forever homes through our adoption program."

"The Winnipeg Boxer Rescue began in 1999 in the city of Winnipeg. Tracy is extremely passionate about the dogs that she cares for and genuinely cares for the people who are owned by them. As the main contact for the rescue with a huge heart for this breed (as well as many others) Tracy pours her heart into each and every interaction she has with the dogs and the people that she comes in contact with.

Our goal is to help boxers stay with their loving families, and so we also offer information about proper vet care, and try to help finding you support for behaviour issues for your pet."

"Pawprints Animal Rescue Foundation is a not for profit, BC registered charity organization that works to positively and directly impact the lives of many tame, feral, and wild animals throughout British Columbia, Canada through our volunteer run programs. We care for the needs of neglected stray cats, kittens, and feral cat colonies that exist in communities throughout the province.

We work closely with our community partners and Veterinary staff to achieve a healthy status for the cats and also arrange for spaying or neutering. Each animal we help to rescue, spay, neuter and vaccinate reduces the potential exposure of that cat to a life of disease and slow starvation, and helps directly reduce the cycle of pet overpopulation."
